The original McDonald Paper opened in 1994 on McDonald Ave in Brooklyn with a staff of only 1. Eugene Khorosh, founder of McDonald Paper, built the company up, through much hard work and dedication to great success. Eugene saw an opportunity to provide service to small, "mom and pop" type customers that the food service equipment distributors and food houses did not typically deal with. In a time when most dealers sold from catalogs, Eugene chose to have those items that operators needed the most often in stock, on the shelf, clearly and competitively priced. At the time, there were less than half a dozen local restaurant supply companies. McDonald Paper grew by leaps and bounds since the first sale of plastic shopping bags and plastic cookware.
